What you are buying
You are buying pixels on the homepage. Pixels are sold in blocks of 10 pixels in height and 10 pixels in width. Buying pixels means that you can choose the color of those pixels and choose a URL for those pixels to link to. The definition of pixels in this context is a loose reference to an amount of space on a screen. This is because the world is full of devices with diffrent screen sizes, resolutions, and orientations. To accomodate all these devices, the pixels are designed to be displayed on a wide screen monitor, and zooming with a pinch gesture allows the pixels to be seen on smaller screens.
Cost
The pixels are divided into 6,783 blocks of 10x10 pixels and each block has a different cost. The cost (per pixel) of each block ranges from ₿0.00001-0.00294 per pixel. The cost per pixel increases gradually as more blocks are sold. The diagram below summarizes the change in price, showing bitcoin per block, in the order that blocks are sold:
The prices for blocks are discounted at the beginning of sales in the hopes of generating interest and giving small organizations a chance to participate. Since the price increases linearly, the first half of the blocks cost less that the average cost of all blocks. During the sale of the first half of the blocks, the discounted price only applies to the first 9 blocks purchased. For purchases of more than 9 blocks, the 10th block and onward will be sold at the everage price, which is ₿0.147427 per block.
How
Send an email to buy@thousandbitcoinhomepage.com with the following information:
- Which pixel blocks you want (Block numbers and coordinates are given when you click "Available" on the homepage)
- URL where you would like the pixel block to lead
- Descriptive text for your URL (max: 50 characters)
- PNG/JPG/SVG image file that is the size and shape of the pixel blocks you are requesting (each block should have 100 pixels. SVG files will be rasterized.)
- The public address of the bitcoin wallet you will use to send bitcoin
I will review your request and send you a confirmation email with the public address of my bitcoin wallet for you to send the cost of the pixels. It is important that you send me your public address and wait for my confirmation before sending payment, so that I can confirm you are the one sending payment.
Confirmations will be sent on a first come, first served basis. This means the cost of the pixels you request might be higher than what is displayed on the website at the time of your request, because someone may have already made a request at the current price when you send your email.
I will give each person 24 hours to take action to complete the purchase they requested before moving on to the next request in the queue. At my discretion, once those 24 hours pass, I will reconsider your request next after you respond to me.
Conditions
I alone have the right to choose to sell you pixels. I have sole discretion over whether to allow your image, URL, and descriptive URL text to be displayed on the website (I will not be accepting adult content, for example). Additionally, if your URL directs to any content that I deem inappropriate at any point in the future, I reserve the right to disable your URL on this website and/or remove it from this website.
I do not make any guarantee that the website and the content you provide will be available/accessible in the future. However, I plan to keep the website up for the next five years (until December 31st, 2027), to the extent that I am able to. Beyond that, my goal is to keep the website up indefinitely. Again, this is not a promise or garauntee.
Between the time of your purchase and December 31st, 2027, you can email me to request changes to your content. Such requests will still be subject to my approval as described above, but my goal is to accomodate you in the case your URL changes.
